Good workflows in any type of publishing always edit non-text objects last, in order to make the most hassle-free way to do it all. You should always plan to deal with your Objects only after you’ve gotten the text relatively finalized, as their placements can change unexpectedly as you work with your text. Regardless of which option you choose, don’t fuss too much with the Objects right away.

Now, you can place objects anywhere without worrying about Anchors, but as the option you turned off implies, the objects will no longer move with your text as you make significant edits. To do this, select an object, tap the Format menu (paint brush) at the top, tap the Arrange tab in the window that pops up, and then turn off the switch for Move With Text. If you cannot finesse that, try adding some empty line breaks after your text, but before your page break, to give room for those anchors to be.

When you drag the objects, and anchor marker will appear, and you might be able to drag it to the very end of your text. Move the Objects back to the previous page. For example, you can use Cloudconvert as well as Etyn. Both of them are. Hence, that empty line, and the objects anchored to it, were pushed to the new page. There are plenty of online tools that you can use to convert. Click Advanced Options and select the desired format. Additionally, you have the option to change the format of Word to allow compatibility with earlier versions of Microsoft Word.

When you created the Page Break, what happened was that the Page Break was inserted between the text you wrote, and presumably an empty line of text where your Objects were anchored. Open the Pages document that you want to convert. When you do that, the objects are anchored in your text somewhere. What is happening is that those Objects are set to “Move With Text”. What you need to change is how those non-text items (objects) are being handled.
